Wheel Safety issues Seminar". Both seminars were presented by Dr. Joseph D. Walter, who has had a long, distinguished career in the tire industry, as well as in academia. Together, these two seminars served as a primer course on tire related issues. The seminars addressed tire construction, the response of tires to static and dynamic loads, the mechanical interaction between tires and a vehicle, and the interaction between tires and a road surface under disparate road conditions. |

Since tires are the predominant intermediary between vehicles and road surfaces, they are of prime consideration in accident reconstruction efforts. |
