Staff Profile - Anne Suter

Anne Suter joined our firm in 1994 as our information specialist. Anne grew up in northwestern Iowa and graduated from the University of Iowa with BS and MLS degrees.  She joined the faculty of Albany State College in Georgia, where she taught library science courses and administered the School of Education library for two years. She next joined the Georgia Public School System, where she worked at a County School District as Coordinator of Federal Programs for six years. During this period, she earned her degree as Specialist in Educational Media from the University of Georgia.

In 1979, Anne relocated to California, where she joined the Northrop Corporation Services Division (NSI) in training development.  During the next 14 years at NSI,

she was assigned to head several different functions, including training programs, business development / marketing, safety, quality assurance, purchasing and contracts.  During this period, she earned her MBA through the Presidential/Key Executive program at Pepperdine University.

In response to an entrepreneurial urge (as well as dissatisfaction with the daily commute from Pleasanton to Sunnyvale), Anne deserted the corporate arena and formed her own writing/editing company.  A year later, however, a small classified ad for a ‘researcher’ caught her eye, and the rest is history.  Anne reports, “I am delighted to have returned to my ‘roots’ in my chosen field of library science, and in my own backyard, at Boster Kobayashi. This is a great group to work with, and every day brings a new challenge!”  In the next issue of The Reconstructor, Anne will provide a profile of the Boster, Kobayashi and Associates library holdings.
