We are proud to announce the addition of a new traffic engineer to our staff of experts. John H. Squier joined the Boster Kobayashi firm in the fall of 2003. A CV for John is available for your review at www.bosterkobayashi.com or by request. John H. Squier received his B.S. in Civil Engineering at Drexel Institute of Technology in Philadelphia, PA. Immediately prior to joining Boster, Kobayashi and Associates, John served as a traffic engineer for Wildan, a consulting firm serving public agencies. |

John had a long-term career with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works/Road Department, during which time he ascended to the position of Assistant Deputy Director. He has extensive experience in traffic and road design, investigations and operations as well as road and traffic control device maintenance. As Division Head of the Traffic and Lighting Division he was in charge of traffic investigations, traffic design, traffic studies and accident investigation for approximately 4000 miles of county and city roads and 1500 signals in the unincorporated county and its contract cities. As Division Head of the Operational Services Division John was responsible for maintenance and operation of the traffic signals, plus approximately 130,000 signs, 1,400,000 square feet of pavement markings, 2000 miles of striping, and 500,000 lineal feet of curb markings. John is registered as both a Professional Civil Engineer and a Traffic Engineer and he is certified as both a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer and a Doppler Traffic Radar Operator. |
