We are proud to announce the addition of a new traffic engineer to our staff of experts. Matthew Manjarrez joined the Boster Kobayashi firm in the fall of 2003. Manjarrez received his B.S. in Civil Engineering at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo in 1995. During an eight-year tenure with Fehr & Peers Associates in Lafayette, CA, Matthew served as a Senior Project Manager for many projects ranging in size and complexity. |

In the role of Traffic Design Engineer he prepared plans, specifications and estimates for traffic signals, lighting, ramp metering, sign illumination, pavement delineation, and signing for approximately 50 intersections. As Project Manager in charge of transportation and traffic planning, Matthew played an integral role in implementing several large-scale capital improvement projects. Matthew developed construction traffic management plans and recently co-authored a paper entitled Too Slow in the Cone Zone?: Quick Response Construction Traffic Management. Matthew was also responsible for preparing bikeway master plans, parking planning and design, environmental clearance, and traffic impact studies. He is registered as both a Professional Civil Engineer and a Traffic Engineer and he is also a certified Professional Traffic Operations Engineer. He is a member of Chi Epsilon, the National Civil Engineering Honor Society.
