Since joining BKA in 1986, Clay has been assigned to over 1000 cases, been deposed over 600 times and testified in over 125 trials.

His cases involve traffic accident investigation and reconstruction. His Oakland Police Department Traffic Division experience, both as a Motorcycle Squad Supervisor and later as Chief Accident Investigator, has made him very valuable in general accident cases, and certainly in motorcycle cases.

Clay attended and successfully completed the Traffic Institute Accident Investigation and Reconstruction courses at Northwestern University, as well as other classes and seminars.
