As a Caltrans District Traffic Safety Engineer, and an associate with Boster, Kobayashi since 2006, Nevin has been deposed over 40 times and testified in over 10 trials. His cases involve traffic engineering and safety, as well as highway design and maintenance.

Nevin obtained his B.S. in Civil Engineering from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo.
